Business Acquisition Manager
As a Business Acquisition Manager at Beam, You will be part of a dynamic team of Business Development professionals, shaping and executing strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and position Beam as an industry leader. Your industry expertise, networking skills, and innovative thinking will contribute to the continued growth of the business.
As Beam continues its growth in the UK, taking on survey related work and vessel services in the site characterisation market. A subject matter expert is required to assist in acquiring work for this new business direction and ensuring growth within the region. In general, looking for the right candidate who can provide solutions to meet the needs of customers. A secondary background in sales would be welcomed, but a primary background in offshore renewables or survey would be required.
Objectives & Responsibilities:
Beam is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:
- Identify new clients, partnerships and services to expand Beam's market share across the UK and Ireland.
- Create and implement strategies to successfully tap into new business opportunities, developing persuasive proposals to demonstrate Beam's technical solutions.
- Build and manage key metrics related to new opportunities for the sales team and take timely action to ensure targets are achieved
- Help support vessel operations with advice on equipment, tooling and best practices and convey accurate pricing to create competitive proposals for tendering opportunities.
- Strengthen existing client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
- Represent Beam at industry conferences and events to build and nurture partnerships.
- Stay up to date with industry trends to provide insights for Beam's technology roadmaps.
- Prepare and manage detailed sales forecasts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Beam's product offerings, competitive advantages, and market landscape.
- Conduct market analysis to drive Beam's business acquisition performance.

- Significant experience working in the offshore renewable and/or offshore survey industry.
- Well-developed understanding of subsea projects, including geophysical, geotechnical and environmental survey, UXO survey, identification and clearance as well as ROV, and/or AUV-based scopes.
- Substantial networking experience and the ability to identify key industry contacts and decision-makers in UK and Ireland.
- Strong technical solutions background and able identify the most suitable sensor package and personnel for individual customer requirements and objectives.
- A demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and converting substantial business opportunities, especially in the site characterization category of work.
- Excellent relationship management ability capable of building, nurturing and repairing stakeholder relationships as required to impact revenue objectives.
- Proficiency using CRMs such as SalesForce to produce insightful management information
